Tonight is the best I have felt about this year’s Maryland basketball team. Turgeon cut his rotation down to 8 men and there was certainly more cohesiveness evident.
Faust certainly had his best game of the early season.17 pts on 6-11 shooting with some aggressive attacks to the hoop
Smotrycz is an extreme streak shooter. He is rarely lukewarm. Early in the game he could not hit the side of a barn. In the 2nd half –he was on fire.
Simon finished second on the University of Maryland‘s all-time charts for receptions (185) and receiving yards (2,059), and caught 10 career touchdown passes. As a senior, he caught 35 passes for 534 yards and 3 touchdowns. He had his best season as a sophomore, setting an ACC record with 77 catches for 891 yards and 5 touchdowns. That season, he also returned a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown.
No. 5 seed Maryland benefited from a penalty kick goal from Patrick Mullins in the 70th minute as the Terps defeated Providence 3-1 in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Sunday night at Ludwig Field.
The Terrapins (14-3-5) advanced to their nation-leading 12th straight NCAA Sweet Sixteen in an exciting match with the Friars (12-6-4). The two teams combined for 27 shots. Michael Sauers and Jake Pace also scored for Maryland.
It was about as one sided a contest as you can imagine as Geno Smith and the Jets offense were rendered useless today.
Joe was 17-26 for 273 yards but the offense came down to 2 bombs –1 to Torrey and a 74 yd TD pass to Jacobi afterwards of which Jacobi threw a few dance steps in
The Ravens utilized Tyrod Taylor today but basically the package was unsuccessful. Maybe its a work inprogress.
Ed Dickson and Dallas Clarke … Read More »
