15 hits —15 runners left on base—2-14 with runners in scoring position. This game was one of the most frustrating I have ever watched.
Great move inserting Valencia into the lineup
Good call by Freddy who told me this morning he would bat Markakis 7th
O’s are67-57 –with 38 games left need to go 25-13 to hit possible magic win number of 92
Ryan Dempster clearly threw at ARod twice within the same at bat, plunking him on the back the 2nd time. Joe Girardi rightfully went ballistic. Wow it was a long night at the yards. Fortunately the weather was great and victory was achieved. The 2 teams combined to leave 23 men on base. O’s SP Bud Norris weaved his way in and out of trouble to record his 4th win as a Bird.
The bullpen was excellent tonight–shutting down the Rockies in the final 3 1/3 innings with 0 runs 3k’s and 1 walk
With the season opener at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium two weeks away, the Maryland football team provided fans an early glimpse of the 2013 squad as part of Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday afternoon.

Cudjoe-Virgil consistently applied pressure and finished with four sacks and hurried the quarterback on multiple occasions. Likely added an interception on the second series of the second half to end … Read More »
