Absolute shocker of the night—Anthony Bennett being the #1 pick. This was never mentioned by any of the so called inside guys like Chad Ford
Otto Porter to the Wizards—no brainer for the Wizards–Great player and local kid
CJ Leslie—undrafted–never would have happened if he was a Terp
Disappointment—in all of the criticism Alex received locally
2nd round sleepers–#56 Pistons– Peyton Siva from Louisville
Whereas I wanted Alex to be the #1 pick, in the long run being selected 5th could be the best result for him. Despite the drop in money, 2.9 million salary for the Ukranian is more then he ever could have imagined. Alex will not have the pressure of bing examined as the #1 pick. We’re hearing that it’s more and more likely that if Cleveland keeps the pick that Len will be their choice. The Cavs continue to aggressively shop the pick along with other assets in an attempt to add a talented bigman. Attempts for LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love have been unsuccessful.
