Maryland senior Katie Schwarzmann has been named the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced Wednesday by the league office.

Incoming freshman offensive lineman Derwin Gray will not enroll at the University of Maryland this fall due to academic issues, an individual with knowledge of the situation said Tuesday evening.
A hyped four-star recruit from local powerhouse Friendship Academy, Gray committed to Maryland last June over offers from Arkansas, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
