The best high school lacrosse in the nation was on display at Johnny Unitas Stadium last night as Loyola camd back from a 6-0 deficit to beat the #1 high school team in the nation, Boys Latin. Devin McNamara scored with less then 2 minutes left on a feed from Tim Nordbrook to complete the comeback. Loyola barely made the tournament but got on a run defeating Mcdonogh 13-4 in the semis. Former NFL player O.J. Brigance and former Boston College baseball player Peter Frates joined the Maryland baseball team and Boston College as honorary captains for Thursday night’s game between the Terps and Eagles at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.
During warm ups, both teams wore Brigance Brigade t-shirts to show their support for Brigance’s organization, which strives to improve the quality of life of ALS patients and their families.
