The No. 1-ranked and unbeaten Maryland women’s lacrosse team placed five student-athletes on the 2013 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team, announced by the league Wednesday.
Katie Schwarzmann headlined the list, becoming only the third player in league history to be named All-ACC four times in a career. She was joined on the list by fellow seniors Alex Aust and Iliana Sanza, redshirt sophomore Brooke Griffin and freshman Taylor Cummings.

The Maryland men’s soccer team wraps up a successful spring slate with a weekend full of activities, beginning Friday.
Saturday, Ludwig Field will be the place to be for all things Maryland soccer as the Alumni Game kicks off at noon prior to the Terps facing Akron in their final spring contest at 2:30 p.m. Both events are free to the public.

Who would have thought it could happen when the Caps were 2-8. Putting together a 10-1 April streak did the job for Washington. As Alex Ovechkin scored his 13th goal in April the Caps finished off the Jets. The guys bought into Adam Oates’ system and it totally paid off.

Here it is–just about 4 months in advance of the normal relese of ACC Hoops Schedule. I guess the point was to make it clear how badly the ACC wants to punish Maryland. As I have stated since the Big 10 announcement, Maryland is deprived of a home game against Duke and North Carolina. Here is how the schedule breaks down.

Maryland junior midfielder Mike Chanenchuk and junior goalie Niko Amato have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
