On a recent NFL Draft Tracker Podcast, former Ravens scout Daniel Jeremiah gave some insight as to how the Ravens set their draft board. The number of players on their draftboard ranges from 100 – 150, and each player is given a grade between 5.7 and 8.0. The players are positionally ranked, and set on a HORIZONTAL BOARD. Then they set their VERTICAL BOARD, which is based on where they rank the 100-150 players. In the event of a tie between player … Read More »
I never knew there was a question as to whether the final shot went in the goal and hit a pipe and exploded out until I read Christian Swezey’s Washington Post article. FYI–last night I watched the final shot 20 times–never a sign it went it.
The Ravens have 12 picks in Thursday’s draft. No way do I see them taking 12 players. For starters, the team doesn’t have room for 12 additional players. So I expect Ozzie and company to package picks to move up and get players that they really value, and I also expect them to trade picks for next year’s draft. Hey, if they can trade this year’s third for next year’s second – especially to a perennially poor organization – that … Read More »
Highlight of the 2 days of games: Charles Barkley called James Harden of Houston an old man. “The Beard” is 23.
“I really didn’t feel like the Dodgers beat us today. I beat us. I put us in a tough situation,” said Arrieta, who lasted just four-plus innings, giving up two hits, five walks and five earned runs. “Not giving up many hits at all, just making their job a lot easier by putting them on base for free. It’s unacceptable. It’s not something that I’ve ever expected of myself. And it’s just bad. It’s bad.”
Even Buck was very negative … Read More »
What is the most intriguing move for the Ravens……..who plays left tackle, or who will be the #2 wide receiver?
On one of the numerous forums that I follow, a fellow posted the following question? What is the most intriguing move….who plays left tackle, or who will be the #2 wide receiver. Here are my thoughts:
Ravens will go with the BPA (best player available). If that’s a WR, then that’s the pick. If DeAndre Hopkins or Keenan Allen are … Read More »
Finally Winnipeg lost a shootout. Combine that with the Caps outright win over Montreal and the Caps are 3 points up with only 3 games left to play for each team. As I have been talking about recently, with the addition of Mike Rebeiro as center of the 2nd line, Troy Brouwer has become a true finisher. In certainly one of the biggest games of the year, Troy scored twice each time with an assist from #9. Add 2 goals … Read More »
Maryland and Virginia Tech combined for 30 runs on 48 hits in two games on Saturday at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium with the Terps winning game one, 10-9, in dramatic fashion and losing game two to the Hokies, 11-0.
Anthony Papio proved to be clutch for the Terps in the first game of the day. The redshirt freshman hit a game-tying two-run home run in the seventh and won the game for the Terps in the ninth with a two-RBI … Read More »
