I never knew there was a question as to whether the final shot went in the goal and hit a pipe and exploded out until I read Christian Swezey’s Washington Post article. FYI–last night I watched the final shot 20 times–never a sign it went it.

Finally Winnipeg lost a shootout. Combine that with the Caps outright win over Montreal and the Caps are 3 points up with only 3 games left to play for each team.
