Head coach Missy Meharg announced the signing of midfielder Lein Hoelsboer (Hilversum, Netherlands) Wednesday, who will come to the Maryland field hockey program for the fall of 2013.

Five Terrapins will be competing this weekend: Geoffrey Alexander(133), Josh Asper (174), Christian Boley (197), Frank Goodwin (141) and Jimmy Sheptock (184).

Asper enters the tournament as the highest seeded Terp. The senior is seeded fifth at 174 pounds and is looking to become just the second Maryland wrestler all-time to earn All-American honors in three seasons. Hudson Taylor is the only three-time All-American in Maryland history winning the title in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team erupted for 13 goals in the first half in an 18-5 victory at William & Mary Wednesday.

Maryland (10-0, 3-0 ACC) finished its three-game road swing with a balanced at effort at William & Mary as 10 players notched goals for the Terps, led by Brooke Griffin who recorded five. Katie Schwarzmann added six points on three goals and three assists and Alex Austposted a game-high four assists.
