There were several reasons I thought the Terps would win last night. PeShon definitely did bounce back scoring 7 with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 0 turnovers. I talked to PeShon post game and he was definitely a happy camper. Well done. The Terps held the Pack to 19-61 or 31% shooting. Turge’s utilization of 10 players keeps the defensive pressure ratcheted up. NC State has no depth—0 points … Read More »
Well the Terps hit their first shot a running 15 ft jumper by Dez. So far Seth has handled the ball a bit more then Nick. I still believe PeShon will see some minutes at the point.
A stuff by Shaq and a fast break bucket by Seth has the Terps off and running at 6-0.
Dez is all over Scott Wood. Seth drives again for a layup.
Pe and Layman in for the 2 guards 10-0 Terps.

The Pats, who finished the regular season 29th against the pass and have been victimized by the long ball, say they’ll be prepared. Flacco’s chief target on the long ball is typically Smith, who made veteran Champ Bailey look like an old man Saturday.
“When you have guys like that, a guy like Torrey Smith who can really stretch a defense and has speed like that, that’s the type of guy who can get behind the defense,” Gregory said. “So they definitely … Read More »
Just when it seems that Maryland could be in free fall, I am going against the grain and truly believe Maryland will be victorious tonight.
#1 This is the ACC where if you think you can’t lose you probably will. NC State is riding as high as it has in years. Yet I see the blemishes.
#2 The Wolfpack goes 7 deep and that is a stretch. Any foul trouble for CJ Leslie or Richard Howell and they are in … Read More »
The young New Orleans Hornets are growing up in the new year.
Greivis Vasquez scored 23 points, Eric Gordon added 19 and the Hornets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 111-99 on Tuesday night. After losing 13 of 16 in December, New Orleans has won five of eight in January.
Ryan Anderson had 14 points, Xavier Henry scored 11 and Anthony Davis 10 for the Hornets, who are still last in the Western Conference at 12-26 — including matching 6-13 records at home and on the road.
Junior Alyssa Thomas of the 10th-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team was named ACC Player of the Week Monday for the sixth time in her career and second this season.
The reigning ACC Player of the Year averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds in the Terps’ two conference wins this past week. At Virginia Tech Sunday, Thomas scored her season-high 26 points and pulled down a career-high 28 rebounds to go with six assists and three blocks. In Thursday’s game vs. No. … Read More »
RALEIGH, N.C. – And now, for the next act.
NC State’s No. 14 basketball team has reveled in the excitement of its 84-76 victory over top-ranked Duke since Saturday afternoon at PNC Arena, but on Wednesday night the Wolfpack (14-2 overall, 3-0 ACC) gets back to work when it travels to face Maryland (13-3, 1-2) at the Comcast Center. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 and the Wolfpack Radio Network will provide radio coverage.
With a 79-74 win … Read More »
After the weak point guard play the last 3 halves of Terrapin basketball, are we pushing the panic button too quickly by moving Nick back to the point. I look back at the Virginia Tech game and just feel that Layman needs to be in the lineup. To me the best scoring 5 we could start right now would be Nick Layman Dez Shaq and Alex
14 points in a half is just not going to … Read More »
