One team last night shot 22-63 from the field, 5-20 from the 3 line, 5-13 from the free throw line——and they were the winners!!! It was one ugly game.

The difference was point guard play. The Terps had 4 assists and 15 turnovers and the  U had 15 assists and 8 turnovers.

Pe Shon and Seth Allen combined for 2-13 shooting, 4 points and 0 assists. Might we see Nick at the Point Wednesday night and Seth at the 2.

 Alyssa Thomas had 26 points, a career-high 18 rebounds, six assists and three blocks and No. 10 Maryland took charge from the opening tip and beat Virginia Tech 74-45 on Sunday at Cassell Coliseum.

Thomas, the reigning ACC player of the year, led the Terrapins (13-3, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who won for the ninth time in 10 games. Tianna Hawkins added 14 points and freshman Tierney Pfirman and Katie Rutan each scored 11.

The 10th-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team will trek to Blacksburg, Va. this weekend to take on Virginia Tech Sunday at 2 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum.

The Terps-Hokies game will be broadcast on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network and can be heard on UMTerps.com for a fee or AM 1300.

Just a few random comments after watching the most enjoyable Ravens victory in history

Will all Flacco doubters please leave the building. Joe was stupendous especially his 70 yard pass (55 in the air) to Jacobi Jones in the waning seconds to send the game to OT.
