The Maryland Terrapins welcomed the Rutgers Scarlet Knights into Xfinity Center for each team’s Big Ten opener, and while the Terps held a slim 28-27 lead after making a late first half run, it wasn’t enough as they lost their first game at home, 74-60. Maryland’s defense kept the Terps within striking distance throughout, but a three minute lapse in the middle of the second half combined with poor shooting allowed Rutgers to make a second 10-0 … Read More »
1–Unbelievable gut wrenching loss for the Terps Sat 27-24. To begin with Taulia and Chance Campbell contracted Covid before a must win game against Rutgers. After backup QB Lance Legendre was basically ineffective, rarely used 3rd String QB Eric Najarian came in and performed very well. Cut to the chase, the Terps had this game won 5 times but could not close the deal. 11 penalties in inopportune times, a dropped TD pass, a few tough overturned calls, and whatever … Read More »

An MIA was put out for any offense in the first half on senior day when the Maryland Terrapins battled the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in what would become a back and forth contest before falling 27-24 in overtime. The opening half featured a total of 12 punts and three points but following a quarterback change for Maryland and an injury at quarterback for the Scarlet Knights, the offense picked up in the second half. Less than an … Read More »

#1 I’m not sure what team was wearing the Terrapin jerseys tonight in Littlejohn Coliseum. This Clemson game bothered me the second I saw it on the schedule. Though it was years ago, Maryland has always had problems at Clemson. Last night was no exception. 38-15 at half time is inconceivable. At least the Terps came out of the coma in the 2nd half. Hakeem Hart continues to show promise and expect more minutes for … Read More »

Maryland’s early season torrid shooting pace in the friendly confines of the Xfinity Center didn’t travel to Littlejohn Coliseum as the Terps took on the Clemson Tigers as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. In the first half, the Terps not only shot a horrid 26% from the field, but decided to start the season of giving early adding 10 turnovers to the gift box. They wrapped up the package by shooting 5/11 from the free throw … Read More »

Despite a sloppy first half with 11 turnovers, the Maryland Terrapins scored 14 straight points after the visiting St. Peter’s Peacocks scored the game’s first basket. The Terps rode the backs of junior forward Jarius Hamilton, sophomore forward Donta Scott, and sophomore guard Hakim Hart to a 90-54 win over Saint Peter’s. Hart led the way with a career high 33 points in his first career start, Scott celebrated his birthday in style with his second career … Read More »
