In addition to their work on the field, Maryland student-athletes worked hard in the classroom last year as the department-wide cumulative and semester GPAs were raised overall and all sports received impressive NCAA APR scores. The student-athlete cumulative GPA increased to 2.875, up from 2.862 in the fall semester, and the semester GPA for spring 2012 was 2.881, which improved from 2.856 in the fall of 2011.

“One thing we need to do is just continue to make strides with our young guys. I thought we made quite a bit of strides from week one to week two and now what we have to do is continue to do that. I think one of the things you take a look at is – using Perry (Hills) as an example – the first week he had a tough week and the next week he bounced back and was … Read More »

Observations of a grand night of Monday Night Football:

When the Ravens won the toss and elected to receive, you could feel it was a night when a statement would be made. The Ravens offense is for real. First play of the game a 52 yard Bomb to Torrey right on the money.

Joe was 21-299 for 299 yards and 2 TD passes. Enough said.

The Bengals ran the ball well butt Marvin Lewis probably regrets not going for the … Read More »

How both sides are able to patch over these losses will be crucial in the outcome of the game. Suggs leaves a massive void for the Ravens; accounting for a +31.1 grade in 2011 and sacking the quarterback 14 times over the course of the year. He is their … Read More »

Tiger on Rory: “He’s going out there and is up near the lead and posts a good number,” Woods said. “He’s doing the things he needs to do, and as he said yesterday, he’s feeling very confident about his game. Right now he’s just really playing well and he’s making a ton of putts. That’s a great combo.”

Plain and simple, in typical Yankee and Red Sox fashion Joe Girardi most likely targeted one of the 2 Oriole stars and and now the amazing run of the O’s could be in jeopardy. This is just not the same team without its tremendous leadoff hitter. Like every Oriole fan, I am sick about what happened Saturday night and find it amazing that no one asked the embattled Yankee manager if Sabathia was under orders.  There certainly was little doubt … Read More »
