The No. 4 Maryland men’s soccer team toppled #24 Boston College 4-0 Friday night to pick up its first conference win of the 2012 season.

The Terps (3-0-1) once again showcased a balanced attack with four different players notching goals, including freshmen Christiano Francois and Schillo Tshuma and redshirt juniors Jake Pace and Widner Saint Cyr. The defense, led by three saves from Keith Cardona, picked up its third shutout against a nationally-ranked opponent.

Senior Becky Kaplan scored both goals to lead the University of Maryland women’s soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Alabama in front of the largest crowd ever at the Alabama Soccer Complex Thursday night.

Junior Hayley Brock played a perfect ball to Kaplan, who made a run down the left side and finished with a sliding kick to the inside of the far post in the 89th minute to break a 1-1 tie that stood since the fourth minute of play. … Read More »
