Miami over OKC —-everyone is jumping off the Miami bandwagon but Game 1 was a learning experience for the Heat. They now know they can’t run with the Thunder. Spoestra must realize the guy to cut off is Wetbrook. KD can’t be stopped but throw Westbrook off his game and the Heat will win. Heat 102 OKC 98

Next 5 in whatever order—Dustin Johnson, Tiger, Lee Westwood, Luke Donald, Jason Dufner
What a glorious night at Camden Yards!!!The O’s coasted to a 7-1 victory behind recently exiled starting pitcher, Jake Arrieta. Jake went 7 innings and gave up just 1 run. He wasn’t exactly sharp but he got the job done.

terrapintimes.com reported yesterday that Obi will visit Maryland. Temple, Georgetown, and Villanova.
Some observations of a great opening game in the NBA Championship Series:
It is hard to believe that James Harden played such a small role in the game Tuesday night–5 points in 22 minutes
We all expect KD to play excellent as he did, exploding in the 4th quarter. But as I wrote about last night the X factor will be which Russell Westbrook shows up each night. Russell tore through the Miami Heat defense often making Dwayne Wade look … Read More »
I forgot what it was like to have an effective leadoff hitter. Roberts is way too valuable to be stealing bases. For whatever reason he has been a disaster while running the bases. One more concussion like injury and he will be through. Imagine this lineup with a healthy Nolan Reimhold. Here is a key statistic to show everyone what an incredible manager Buck is–the O’s are 35-26 yet have been outscored by 2 runs for the season.
Part 2
Durant reached his breaking point once with Brown’s military-like demands, while executing a drill at the age of thirteen where he was required to stand for an hour, frozen in the proper shooting form. He’d finally had enough and stormed out. Two hours later, he was back. KD often took naps at the center. Other kids made fun of him because he ostracized himself in the cocoon of the game, always carrying a ball that often left the dirty … Read More »

Terrapin greats Katie O’Donnell and Keli Smith Puzo were named to the 16-member Olympic team and will head to London, announced Monday by U.S. head coach Lee Bodimeade.
Seven players make a return to the Olympic Games, including Smith Puzo, who graduated from Maryland in 2002. The U.S. will look to record their first Olympic medal since 1984, after finishing eighth at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
