Maryland was awarded the third overall seed in the upcoming 2012 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship Sunday.
The Terps (17-3) earned the automatic bid from the Atlantic Coast Conference after winning its fourth straight ACC championship. Maryland will play host to UMass at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Maryland leads the nation with 28 appearances in the tournament.
