I’m getting excited but am waiting for the first few ACC series before expressing any predictions.
Alfredo Rodriguez broke a 1-1 tie with a bases-loaded RBI single in the ninth and Maryland completed an undefeated run at the Keith LeClair Classic with a 2-1 victory over No. 20 East Carolina Sunday afternoon.
The Terps, now 5-1, are off to their best start in 25 years. They last opened the season 5-1 in 1987.

Alyssa Thomas scored 22 of her 24 points in the second half and added a career-high 17 rebounds, and No. 6 Maryland beat North Carolina State 65-50 on Sunday at Reynolds Coliseum.
Thomas finished two points shy of her scoring high and added a career-high four blocks to help the Terrapins (25-4, 12-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) win their fourth straight and seventh out of eight.
The Terps clinched the No. 3 seed in the ACC tournament that starts Thursday in … Read More »
Enough said for these 2 events. Passed on both.
2013 recruits, Phil Booth and Kameron Williams stole the show this afternoon at Stevenson College Gym. By the way what a phenomenal venue to have this tourney in. The 2 lads from Mount St Joe were stellar as they had to be to help engineer a victory over #2 seed John Carroll. The 2 Juniors are exceptionally smooth shooters who excel at all facets of the game. Phil Booth has been offered a scholarship from the Terrapins. Saturday night sharpshooter … Read More »
Maryland’s offense produced a season-high 15 hits, David Carroll matched a career high with eight strikeouts in seven innings, and the Terps toppled Purdue 11-1 Saturday evening.
Maryland (4-1), which beat Western Carolina 3-0 behind Brady Kirkpatrick Saturday morning, clinched a second consecutive series win. It’s the first time the Terps have won back-to-back series since 2007, when they won the first five series of the season. They’ll go for a weekend sweep against host East Carolina Sunday at 2 p.m.
Ouch—Northwestern just beat the Blue Devils 12-5. It is early in the year but Coach Reese must begin to develop an answer for the stalling type game that was the Terps ruination today and in last year’s championship game.
Sophomore Beth Glaros scored a game-high four goals but the No. 2 Maryland women’s lacrosse team fell short at No. 2 Duke 10-9 Saturday.
The Terps (3-1, 0-1 ACC) picked up goals from freshman Kelly McPartland (3), and Tewaaraton Watch List nominees Karri … Read More »
I feel like I aged watching this game. Shot after shot in the 2nd half missed the mark, many of them simple cutbacks. This team just does not play well on the road. Check out these facts:
Ashton Pankey 0-8 from the field—0 points
The team shoots 34% from the field
10 turnovers 7 assists
Stogs is showing the effects of constant double team-body is very weary —shot is off 5-17 from the field
And yet the Terps lost … Read More »
