Some observations of a hard fought Wizard victory:
John Wall plays all our for every second that he is in the game. For that I respect him. His jump shot seems to be getting better. When it arrive Wall could be a top five guard in the league. Tonight he scored 31 on 10-19 shooting. We have to remember he would only be a Junior if he was still in college. However, under Calipari I doubt if he would have … Read More »
With 9 minutes 30 seconds left in the first half, Maryland trailed 9-6. That about describes the first 11 minutes. Brenda gave an impassioned timeout lecture just telling the players to fight through the pressure. Alyssa Thomas and Tianna Hawkins responded with 2 superb efforts each finishing with 23 points. Do the math thats 46 out of the 64.
Full court pressure can really wear you down and Georgia Tech stayed in the press the entire game. But maryland overcame … Read More »
The students were awesome Satyrday–seranading Diggs all day. I have never witnessed anything like that for a football recruit but Stefon Diggs is more then just a recruit –he is a game changer. With Florida and Urban Meyer the man in competition, I am just hoping that Mack Brown and Lane Kiffin do not make a late play.
If the Ravens ever get a rush end, we will really see how great Suggs is.
The Bruins outplayed the Caps from the opening face-off. Tin Thomas was unstoppable but Boston just had so many better looks. Ovie was about the only Capital playing well. There is a huge gap between these 2 teams.
The highlight replay for me last night was watching the New England bench in disbelief when Welker dropped the wide open pass. No it ws not perfect but I guarantee you the Lombardi Award presenter –Raymond Berry –would have caught it.
I guess Coach Bill figured lightning could never strike twice when he allowed the Giants to score the Touchdown rather then lose by a lock field goal. However, Tynes must have been the happiest guy on the field not … Read More »
Vernon Davis—-Darrius Heyward Bey—-Torrey Smith and now –hopefully Good Counsel’s Stefon Diggs
Just a quick look at Saturday’s scrimmage vs Loyola:
You can’t tell the players without a scorecard especially when they are all wearing different numbers.
Maryland’s interior passing and physical dominated the first half but Loyola bounced back for a strong 3rd quarter.
It’s amazing that for a game with no publicity except for my mentions on Terp talk and the Sports Maven, a nice crowd showed up to watch.
Its off to the Carrier dome vs the next scrimmage … Read More »
Due to a sore knee to starter Jarret Jack, Senor Vasquez started last night and played 37 minutes. 14 points on 5-12 shooting, 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals as the Hornets lost to Detroit by 2.
Let’s see—Henson–NBA lottery pick——-Harrison Barnes—maybe 2nd pick in the draft—Tyler Zeller —lottery pick—Kendall Marshall—1st round NBA—At one point in the 2nd half Maryland was up by 9 –48-39–not bad—I wonder who is the better coach
Felt like it could have been the Twilight Zone–with Carolina displaying old time NBA names like– Harrison “Bad News ” Barnes—Kendall “Donyelle” Marshall. James Michael “Bob” McAdoo—PJ “Happy” Hairston—-Tyler “Gary” Zeller
