The Maryland Terrapins will play in the College Basketball subreddit’s (r/CBB) virtual March Madness tournament tonight at 8p. The tournament features game being live simulated in College Hoops 2k8 using edited rosters with this season’s players. The games have seen half of the first round streamed on the subreddit’s YouTube channel to thousands of viewers with major upsets including 15 seed Eastern Washington defeating two seed San Deigo State.

Smith Named CBS Sports All-American
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (March 16, 2020) – Maryland sophomore forward Jalen Smith has been named a Third Team All-American by CBS Sports, announced Monday. Last week Smith was named a Third Team All-American by Sports Illustrated and Sporting News.

Spring sports athletes get a redo
From the NCAA statement –
“Council leadership agreed that eligibility relief is appropriate for all Division I student-athletes who participated in spring sports. Details of eligibility relief will be finalized at a later time. Additional issues with NCAA rules must be addressed, and appropriate governance bodies will work through those in the coming days and weeks.”
