It’s getting impossible to watch as the O’s hitting failures continue. Let’s hope it just road show blues. The team returns home Tuesday night against Seattle, the start of a 9 game home stand.
Camden Yards was alive like I have never seen it. Yes I am saying it was hopping much more then the 2 free agent playoff years under Davey Johnson. This team is now for real. The pitching is suspect but much less then season’s start. But with the arrival of Matt Wieters, the O’s seemed to lift off the ground. There is a feeling in the air and every one of the 42000 at the game tonight felt it. Luke … Read More »
Let’s tell it like it is, for the first time in recent memory the O’s are hot. Tonight we will probably witness the largest walk-up crowd in years. Why, because the legend finally arrives tonight. Matt Wieters will be in the starting lineup for the Os. Add this to what now seems the outfield for a decade and Oriole fever is back. this season is just starting!!!
I can’t believe I am beginning to believe again. Pinch me. A 3 run walk off homer by Reimhold. Holy cow? I must be dreaming. When I awaken in a few days I’ll see how the dream is doing.
Koji, showing no signs of problem after being hit in the chest with a line drive in his last outing, was spotted a 3-1 lead on homers by Roberts and Zahn. Along came the 6th and 7th and the lead and game were lost 6-3 to the surging Rays. Just a note, Arod is supposed to make his return to the Yankees Friday at Camden Yards. Tickets still remain but not for long!!
The timely hitting that marked the beginning of the season returned last night as the Orioles reeling from a miserable weekend in Toronto, used homers by Markakis and Brob to ease past the Rays. Danny Baez pitched 2 scoreless innings to pick up the Win for the Birds now 10-16. It’s hard to expect the top of the order to contribute night after night but that’s the formula for victory for the Orioles. The starting pitching has not been great but … Read More »
I was told that John Danks is a special pitcher. I went to the O’s game tonight and learned that he is indeed a talented pitcher. Why? Because he throws strike after strike. When you shut the O’s lineup down you have done a fine job. I also love the fact that he might have been 6 or 7 seconds between pitches. It was a cold night at Camden Yards. By the way Brob try not to get picked off … Read More »
The Orioles visit to the over .500 league was short lived as they dropped a 12-1 decision on Patriots Day in Boston. Be sure to watch the O’s tonight as prime pitching prospect Bradley Bergesen starts against the White Sox.
The Caps thoroughly dominated the Rangers 4-0 in Madison Sqaure Garden and now trail in the series by 2 games to one. However again the Caps let this punk Sean Avery, take a late verbal shot at the goalie. The only … Read More »
We are 8 games into the season and the bullpen is wearing down already. Adam Jones slammed a 2 run Homer in the 10th and was backed up with a 2 run double by Luke Scott which was needed to defeat Texas agains. the O’s are now 6-2.
I always tell my co-host Dino, that Exhibition games are a total waste of time to watch. Hopefully the Orioles will continue to prove my hypothesis. Can you believe another strong pitching performance by an O’s starter. Melvin Mora in essence put the game into safety with a Grand Slam in the first. The O’s are 4-1 and go for the sweep tomorrow. I promise not to get excited until the O’s play their 50th game.
