The Celtics have had their way with Orlando. Doc Rivers is clearly the best coach in the NBA. Rajon Rondo has been stupendous. So what does Paul Pierce do–he virtually guarantees a sweep. Think Dwight Howard was excited to hear the prediction. Look out for the Magic in game 3.
It’s not Pierce, it’s not Garnett, it’s not Ray Allen—Rondo now has the Celtics primed to win the NBA Championship. Orlando is cooked —don’t be surprised if the Magic are swept.
Paul Pierce and Ray Allen combined for 47 as the Celtics led virtually the entire game and won fairly easily. The Celts go up 1-0 in the best of seven series.
5th games when 1 team is up 3-1 usually go the blow out rout and not necessarily by the team trying to clinch. The Lakers could conceivably come out flat knowing the next 2 games are at home. The NBA Championship is usually decided in game 4. Why? One team is usually up 2-1 and one more win just about wraps up the title. LA WILL WIN TONIGHT. I am almost positive. In the game about to start in a few minutes, the Magic must win tonight to have any kind of chance against LA. I have never liked the NBA Finals 2-3-2 format. If the Lakers win again all they have to do is win1 in Orlando to have 2 shots to win at home for the title. The Magic just do not have the resources to stop #24. The Magic is a much better and deeper team with its PG in the lineup. He seems to be making progress but this could just be a Van Gundy ploy to disrupt the Lakers preparation for the title series. Dwight Howard to be on a mission but Kobe is Kobe and the Lakers win easily in 6. The Lakers will need to be better guarding the 3, therefore I doubt we will see extensive doubleteaming of Superman.

40 Games in 40 nights has proven one thing to me: Kobe Bryant is still the best player in basketball. Sorry Melo, LeBron, Dwight –Kobe plays 48 minutes, takes a beating without complaining, and is able not to wear down.
