The No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team pulled away from No. 3 Wake Forest, 4-1, Saturday in a classic conference rivalry match. It’s gut check time today for Maryland. “I thought we had a good week of practice,” Friedgen said. “Right now we need to get a win. It would be very important for us. Obviously, I was hoping we would win last week so these guys start gaining some confidence. I still think we’ve played three good teams.
