In a break from Terrapin tradition, Jeff Barker of the Sun reports that Ralph is considering naming permanent player team captains. His speculation is that Phil Costa and Chris Turner would be included in the mix.
Choosing to be a Terrapin over attending the University of Georgia, the Terps landed their 14th 2010 commit–Devin Burns a 6’2 183lb QB from Columbus, Georgia.
Last night Ralph addressed the media at the 2009 ACC Football Kickoff. Here are some quotes from Ralph: “This team seems very hungry right now,” Friedgen said. “I’ve had very few problems, very little effort issues. I’m pretty proud of this team. I am very, very excited about this season. I’m very excited about our players and who they are as people.”

Again Maryland’s elite status in having one of the best Criminal Justice Major programs in the country was the final point that won over this 4.3 40 yd speedster.

Nermin Delic a 6’5″ 240 lb DE/TE from the carpet capital of the US, Dalton, Ga, verbally committed to the Terps Saturday. Testudotimes.com reports Delic has a very strong relationship with Coach Friedgen. More news to follow.
The one thing that has set Athletic Director Debbie Yow’s career at the top of the NCAA is her ability to find the right hires for the University. Recently she reeled in Kerry McCoy from Stanford and now McCoy has the Terps as one of the top Wrestling programs in the country.
