At the very last minute, Stoglin decided to enter the draft. This morning it was announced that Stoglin and Parker who already had announced plans to transfer were suspended for 1 year from from playing varsity basketball by the University. Here is the release:

The ACC’s leading scorer quickly ended all speculation on his early exit from College Park by tweeting that he will return for his Junior year. Mark Turgeon’s team next year will have size, depth all around and if SAM CASSELL JR COMMITS–he will have the quickness, shooting ability and be 4-5 guards deep which will make the Terps a run and gun squad if need be. Awaiting Midnight Madness!!!
Terrell Stoglin earned second team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors while Nick Faust was voted onto the ACC All-Freshman team in balloting released Monday by the league office. Stoglin, a sophomore guard from Tucson, Ariz., finished the regular season as the leading scorer in the league with a 21.2 points-per-game average. Should he remain atop the ACC’s scoring list, it would be the sixth time a Maryland player has led the league in scoring. Joe Smith (1995), Walt Williams (1993), Len Bias (1985 & … Read More »
Some thoughts on a great win vs the U:
Welcome to Comcast Ceneter Mr Larranaga!!!! Facing a team with superior talent then the Terps, Coach Turgeon’s troops out hustled, out defended, out rebounded and dealt the U a devastating loss. James Padgett dropped an and 1 on an offensive rebound to give the Terps a lead they would not relinquish. Strong d by Freshman Nick Faust preserved the victory.
Let’s not forget it was Captain Sean Mosley who nailed a … Read More »
Scoreboard Seth. Seth doesn’t know how to lose or win. 3 years ago during the Augustus Gilchrist debacle, Seth did a dance in front of the Maryland bench after a victory at College Park.
This is what he said after the Terps win saturday:
“Stoglin, he plays for both teams,” Greenberg said after Stoglin scored 28 points on 9 of 21 shooting. “The guy made tough, tough shots, but he also [took] some shots that gave us a … Read More »
Some thoughts 36 Hours after a valiant effort by Maryland:
Alex Len’s exit may have sealed the Terps doom Saturday morning but apparently his ankle injury was minor as terrapin times.com reports he will play against Duke.
A great contingent of Terrapin fans showed up at the Palestra and were treated to a great comeback rally by the Terps that fell about 5 minutes short
PeShon turned in his best offensive performance of the year finishing with 15 points on … Read More »
It’s painfully obvious that Terrell is being effected buy the ankle injury. He has 8 points but most are from the line. The Terps trail at halftime 34-27 after being down by 11.
The points have to come from somewhere else tonight or the Terps will not win
Sean must be more aggressive shooting and scoring for the Terps to win.
Some telling 1st half stats– Terps 9-25 and 0-2 from the field
Terps 20-11 on the … Read More »
Do not be fooled by the record. This team defeated George Mason on the road and has held its own with the Hokies and Coastal Carolina. I am a little worried about the health of Stogs. Remember he was limping at the end of the game against the Mount. Until PeShon and Len return, it’s very improbable that we can win without Terrell.
The Terps finally overcame the Verizon problem with the win last night
Stogs ha 31 and Sean who always seems to play well at Verizon had 17
Padgetts game continues to improve as he was physically dominant
Mike Brey commented post game
“You know, given where our group is right now, I’m proud of our group because I wanted to see us battle for 40 minutes, and we’ve been kind of searching for that a little bit. Credit to … Read More »
Some comments on a great Terrapin victory in Puerto Rico
Terrell Stoglin was simply incredible last night scoring 32 on 12-21 shooting and playing his heart out all over the court.
Sean Mosley had the kind of game that we will need in order us to win. He was 4-5 from the 3 point line and wound up with 16 points.
It is hard to believe that Nick Faust is a Freshman. Handling the point almost the entire game Nick … Read More »
