The Maryland softball team will play host to one of 16 Regional sites next weekend in the NCAA Women’s Division I Softball Championship. The Terps (39-17) will appear in back-to-back NCAA Regionals for the first time in program history. Maryland will play host to the No. 11-seed Baylor (40-12), Conference USA champion East Carolina (39-20) and the Patriot League champion Lehigh (33-21) next weekend at Robert E. Taylor Stadium. Maryland is scheduled to face off against East Carolina Friday at 7:30 p.m., while Baylor and Lehigh will take the field at 5 p.m. The four teams will play a double-elimination tournament over the weekend, with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals next weekend. from umterps.com
