Seventh-seeded Josh Asper won a 5-3 decision over second-seeded Shane Onufer of Wyoming in the 165-pound quarterfinal to secure All-American status for the second time in as many years Friday at the NCAA Championships at the Scottrade Center. After four sessions, the Terps are in 31st place with 15.5 points. Penn State enters the final day in first place.It is the 28th-time a Maryland wrestler has earned All-American status.In Friday’s evening session, Asper lost a hard-fought 5-4 decision to 11th-seeded Brandon Hatchett of Lehigh in the semifinals.
