Junior Hayley Brock and senior Becky Kaplan did it again, each scoring a goal to lead the No. 17 University of Maryland women’s soccer team to a 2-1 victory at No. 15 Wake Forest Sunday afternoon at Spry Stadium.
For Kaplan, the goal is her team-leading ninth of the year and her fifth game-winner of the season. Brock now has six goals on the season and the goal vs. the Demon Deacons is her fifth in four ACC matches.
The victory ups the Terrapins overall record to 7-2-2 and their ACC mark to a conference-best 3-0-1, which puts Maryland atop the ACC standings with 10 points. The Demon Deacons fall to 8-3-1 overall and 2-2-0 in ACC play.
