Terps Win 1st BIG 10 Conference Game 37-15, thrashing the Hoosiers.

I have said it over and over: The Big 10 is overrated. How else could Maryland waltz over the team that just beat Nizzou.

Brandon Ross had a super day 1 TD and 62 yards rushing.

I am very concerned about the wrist injury to CJ. Caleb Rowe gave the Terps some quality minutes, but is he the guy.

Diggs, Ross, and Long had big games for Maryland.

The Terps defense was definitely beat up before the game. Yet it stopped one of the most vaunted offenses in the NCAA.

Interesting Scores

Northwestern 29  james Frankilin and his Penn State 6–Thats right

Mizzou 21 South Carolina 20–Yes thats the same Mizzou that lost to IU

The Terps are now 4-1 and will face OSU Saturday October 4

Game Notes

C.J. Under Center: Quarterback C.J. Brown’s five-yard touchdown run was the 22nd of his career, which is the seventh-highest total in school history, and his 29-yard touchdown pass was his 27th, seventh most all-time. Brown has been responsible for 49 career touchdowns, four shy of the school record.

Climbing the Charts: With six catches for 112 yards, wide receiver Stefon Diggs continued to ascend within the Maryland record book. Diggs passed Guilian Gary (1998-2001) for seventh all-time with 117 career receptions. The junior wideout moved passed Marcus Badgett (1989-1992) for sixth all-time in career yards with 1,832 yards, and he moved into a tie for seventh in career touchdowns (11) with Badgett and Barry Johnson (1987-1990).

Diggs Over 100: For the seventh time in his career, wide receiver Stefon Diggs eclipsed the 100-yard plateau for receiving yards in a game (112). His seven 100-yard games ties him for second in program history with Torrey Smith (2008-10), Derrick Fenner (2002-05) and Jo Jo Walker (2002-05). Jermaine Lewis (1992-95) holds the program record with 15.

Two Over 100: Wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Deon Long totaled 112 yards and 108 yards receiving, respectively. It is the first time two Maryland receivers have gone over 100 yards since Quintin McCree (7-117) and Kerry Boykins (6-101) did it against Virginia on Nov. 5, 2011.

One More Catch: Wide receiver Stefon Diggs now has a reception in 23 straight games. That total is tied for the fifth longest streak in school history with John Tice (1978-1982).

Still Perfect: Kicker Brad Craddock connected on his eighth, ninth and 10th field goals of the season, a 48 yarder for Maryland’s opening score, a 30 yarder for the Terps’ final points of the first half, and a 48 yarder to close the scoring. Craddock is a perfect 10-for-10 this season and has converted 16 consecutive field goal attempts dating back to last season. Craddock has now converted 41 career field goals, which ranks fifth in program history.

Career First: Wide receiver Juwann Winfree’s first career reception went for a touchdown, a 30-yard strike from quarterback Caleb Rowe.

Offensive Notes: Quarterback Caleb Rowe tossed his 10th career TD pass and third of the season to running back Brandon Ross, who has two in as many games … wide receiver Deon Long led all receivers with a career-high 10 catches and finished with a season-best 108 yards … running back Wes Brown had a career-long 38-yard reception.
