The Maryland men’s soccer team notched its fifth-straight win with a 3-1 victory against Santa Clara Saturday night at Ludwig Field.
Maryland (8-5-2, 3-2-1 Big Ten) picked up second-half goals from freshman George Campbell, fifth-year senior Jereme Raley and junior Mael Corboz as the defense limited its opponent to one or fewer goals for the fifth-consecutive match.
Campbell picked up his long-awaited first collegiate tally with a beautiful strike in the 58th minute. After Mikey Ambrose beat a host of Santa Clara defenders in the midfield, he chipped a ball to Campbell who promptly found the back of the net from 20 yards.
