What a great day to be a Terp. It’s on the line line today at Hopkins–perhaps the fate of the NCAA Champion Blue Jays for 2008 and certainly the Terrapin’s need to win and maintain their top 10 ranking. Look for face offs to be the key—Hopkins great Stephen Peyser vs Will Dalton and Bryn Holmes. Maryland middie Max Ritz moves back to attack replacing the still suspended Travis Reed. The game can be seen on Channel 2 at 2PM. Speculation calls for Dave Cottle to start the incredibly hot Jason Carter in the cage today. My prediction as heard on Terp Talk this past Thursday— Terps win in OT 7-6 on a Grant Catalino goal. Co-host Casey Connor had it 13-8 Terrapins. The Lady Terps journey to Carolina to play the Tar Heels tonight at 7PM. The O’s squandered a 5-2 lead , falling to the Tampa Bay Bucs 10-5. Alex Ovechkin scored with 5 minutes left to lift the Capitals to a 5-4 win over Philly in Game 1 of the playoff series.
