O’s Bullpen Blows Lead Again, Cry For Help at Shortstop

It was painful to watch the Orioles bullpen toss away another game last night as Toronto scored the last 5 runs to edge the Birds 7-6.  Daniel Cabrera tired in the 7th, exited and then the floodgates opened.  But what really hurt was when 9th inning defensive replacement Freddie Bynum misplayed and inning ending play at shortstop to end the game.  Remember the O’s passed on Gordon Beckham from Georgia in the recent draft.  Sloppy fielding David Eckstein sure isn’t the answer either.   While there is an outcry that Brian Roberts was bypassed for the All Star Game, I believe the O’s MVP so far has been an early season villain, Aubrey Huff, who has contributed clutch hit after clutch hit!!

Interesting to see the Philadelphia 76ers engineering its roster to add Elton Brand to the lineup.  A move like this is something we just don’t see from the Wizards.  However, the Wiz definitely have stepped up to the plate and signed Agent Zero for better or worse.
