The Sunday Curse End as O’s Defeat Angels 5-2

As George Sherrill got out #3 and his 30th save, the entire team breathed a collective of relief as the Birds finally ended this Sunday loss streak that has effectively ruined their season. Finally Olsen pitched a creditable game and reversed the recent misfortunes of the team.  On to New York for 3 games.

Can Willis overcome his conditioning problems and become the premiere back he is capable of being.  Questions of his stamina arose often last year and seem to be popping up again.  Certainly at all stops of his career (The U, Buffalo, and now with the Ravens), McGahee has proven to be a most worthy running back, now the question is can he step it up to the next level?

Maryland football, enjoying a banner recruiting year, begins its 2008 season on Saturday August 30 vs Delaware at 3:45. Season tickets still remain. The opening game is on ESPNU, which means many Baltimore Terrapin fans will not get to watch because of Comcast’s inability to rectify the problem with ESPN. I urge all Terp fans to call Comcast and voice their desire to have ESPNU added to the Comcast network.
