I was so upset over this game, my blog on it is a day late. The better team won. The Terps are 7-4, not going to the Orange Bowl and desperately need to win at BC to avoid being relegated to one of the minor bowls. The good news is that BC is ranked and the Terps have responded with great efforts after each of the defeats this year. Some observations:
One of the coldest football nights in memory. The visitors side of the field was virtually empty after 3 quarters. Of course the game had something to do with that.
Chris Turner took one of the worst beatings I have seen a Maryland QB take.
It seemed to me that Ponder (FSU QB) ran the exact same play 10 times and the Terps never stopped it!!!
What a crazy season it has been so far!! I guess I won’t have to worry about my December 6 trip to Tampa Bay.
Bowden never pulled the troops off the attack mode even when the game was ridiculosly out of reach. One day the Terps will get the Seminoles down and I hope Ralph remembers the humiliation Bowden seemed to enjoy.
