Despite 350 Passing Yards from Turner , Maryland Falls to BC 28-21

A seemingly great year collapsed into mediocrity on Saturday as this victory could not be resurrected by a gutty showing from Chris Harper.  Two weeks ago the Terps were 7-3 and in first place in their ACC Division with thoughts of the Orange Bowl floating in their minds. Now they end the season 7-5 and 4-4 in the ACC and will be lucky to even be selected to play in any Bowl according to their head coach!! What went wrong? Some of my thoughts:

Most teams have developed some variation of the Wildcat offense, yet the Terps were never able to incorporate Josh Portis into a meaningful role.

After the North Carolina game the run game disappeared.

Crucial field goal misses in the last 2 games deflated the team.

The offensive line allowed its QB to take a horrific beating in the last 2 games.

The ball just didnt get into DHB’s hands enough.

Could enver even lay a hand on the opposing QB in the last 2 games.

DaRel Scott never regained his early season form.

Why all the dropped passes?
