Terps 1 Creighton Nil—TERPS RETURN TO COLLEGE CUP

In a game that was virtually 100% dominated by Terrapin aggressive play, Rodney Wallace scored in the middle of the 1st half on a brilliant Michael Marchiano pass and then the Terps barely missed shot after shot until mercifully the game ended. This is what the opposing coach had to say postgame:

This was probably the most we’ve been outplayed in the last decade or longer. All credit to Maryland. Terrific job organizationally on team defending. Individual and team defending really made the difference in the game today. We had no time on the ball, no time whatsoever. That’s all credit to them. We’re a team that all year long has had the vast majority of the possession in every game and today we had none. That’s the best organized, most athletic team we’ve played maybe in the whole time I’ve played at Creighton and they’re really peaking right now.”

Two wins away from the promised land, Maryland takes the pitch Friday night at 7PM in Dallas against St Johns, nationally televised on the deuce.
