When I closed the show on Thursday night, my final comment was “Greivis will lead his troops into the big dance” Let all the Greivis detractors hide their heads in the sand. What a performance, a near triple double. Sean Mosley came up with a big 12 point game. But the “Maestro” Gary Williams thoroughly outcoached Dino Gaudio. Maryland answered the famous Wake 1-3-1 half court trap immediately with easy layups. THIS GAME WAS NEVER IN DOUBT!!! Wake Forest #9 in the country looked dazed and confused as Gary sunk his team into as deep a zone as you can play. As I said on the website this morning “Simple game plan against Wake–get in the zone and just stay there.” What a great win for the program. I will preview the semi-final game later.
