UMBC Jumps on Top and Beats Maryland for 3rd time in a Row 9-7 in Lacrosse

Despite hat tricks from Grant Catalino and Ryan Young, the UMBC Retrievers behind Alex Hopmann and goalie Jeremy Blevins somewhat easily defeated the Terrapins today at Ludwig Field. Maryland’s attack was not its usual smooth self as possession after posession ended in turnovers or forced shots. Goalie Brian Phipps had 11 saves and 6 groundballs. The #5 Terps fall to 4-2 with its next game today at 1PM against Bryant at. The #2 Lady Terps also play at 1PM vs #13 New Hampshire.
