Marissa Coleman exploded for 18 points and 18 rebounds leading Maryland into the Sweet Sixteen to fave Vanderbilt on Saturday in Raleigh. After falling behind 15-8, the Lady Terpsjust started going inside and totally dominated the game from that point on. The Terps outrebounded the Utes 54-24, enough said. This game was the last game ever at Comcast for Marissa and Kristi.They finish their final 2 seasons at Comcast undefeated.
After watching some of the other games at neutral sites, the games at Maryland were about the only ones with a spirited crowd. Though in inheritently unfair, the crowds at College Park certainly promote the growth of the game. Total attendance for the 2 days was over 20000, easily topping the 1st and 2nd Round totals from around the nation.
