Joe Cummings hat trick was not enough to overcome a furious offensive performance by the Tar Heels as the #1 seeded Terrapins lost to the Tar Heels in the first round of the ACC Tournament. The Terps now stand at 8-6 and wait for next Saturday’s game against Yale in New Haven.
The Lady Terps continued its unblemished season defeating UVA 15-7 behind the stellar goalkeeping of Brittany Dipper. Caitlyn Mcfadden , Brittany Jones and Laura Merrifield each registered a hat trick in the victory. Maryland plays for the ACC Title Sunday at 1PM on Fox Sportsnet.
