Tonight, Rodney Wallace (D.C. United) and Jeremy Hall (NY Red Bulls) will be back on the field together in D.C., as the New York Red Bulls take on D.C. United at RFK Stadium. This is the second meeting between the two teams this season, with United winning the first game, three to two. These two players were core pieces of the Terps’ national championship team last year, and both have adapted well into their roles on their respective teams.
Wallace has taken his speed and explosivness that he showed in his two years at Maryland and has transitioned into an attacking defender/midfielder for D.C. He has started 11 games this season, and has two goals and two assists.
Hall, also a defender, has been able to get some playing time as a rookie on New York. While he hasn’t scored or assisted on any goals, he’s started 6 games this season and has gotten in as a sub in two more games.
D.C. United is favored to win tonight’s game, as New York has yet to win, let alone score, on the road this season. Tonight’s game can be seen on ESPN 2 at 7:30.
