Ramblings From Boca—-O’s As Constituted Not Ready to Win Yet

I would like to see Baez traded.  I think Huff will get traded. If he does get traded Salazar and Wigginton would split time playing first.  If Berken doesn’t have a real good start next time out I would think Tillman will come up and Berken would go to the bullpen if the O’s trade a pitcher like Baez or going back to Norfolk to start.  Hill is the next pitcher on the “what to do” with him list.  I would guess when Isturiz comes back he’ll start but honestly i think Andino is a terrific shortstop who i think can 260 or better with more experience.  If they could get real good value I’d trade Isturiz. I think Bergesen and Hernandez are both going to be good.  Guthrie could be traded if they could get a highly regarded young 3rd baseman.  I don’t think he’d be a big loss.  All of his pitches are thrown at the same speed.  It’s beyond me why he or the team doesn’t work on him changing speeds.  If his slider is up it gets crushed because hitters can sit on the fastball with the slider coming in at the same speed.  Even though they’re in last place I really see hope for the latter part of this year and beyond. If the team plays only so so the 2nd half I could see Trembley gone after the season.  I think at this point with the players they have they need a manager with a little more fire and someone with better baseball instincts to get them to the next level.  And Tiger Woods wins today at Congressional.  How can you pick anyone else when Woods is 45-3 after being tied or leading after 54 holes.  Very sad about Steve McNair.  Played a violent sport.  Died a violent death.
