The point has been made several times that the Orioles don’t know how to win. A look at the current roster shows no one has been a significant player on a major league team that has won and the manager has had a losing record during his 20 yr minor league career. The point has been made several times that the team is in need of a leader. Well, if the manager has never won and none of the players have ever won you need to find a manager that has won before and also trade for a top flight veteran who has won. Though the talent on this team isn’t anywhere close to the talent of the ’66 Birds it looks like they need a “Frank Robinson” type of leader. And though he is old, Frank Robinson still has the fire in him. Maybe the O’s need to bring number 20 back in some capacity to help. I would fire Trembley today and let Frank manage the rest of this yr and let him manage next yr. Or, why not talk to Jim Palmer about managing. Who knows baseball better than Palmer? Palmer knows this team and Palmer was a winner.
