Greinke Leaves— O’s Win 7-3—O’s Now 3-9 Post All Star Game

I guess the heat and carrying pressure finally go to Zach Greinke as he left after 6 innings sitting on top of an 3-2 lead and just as abruptly  Kansas City’s bullpen came in to blow the game. Adam Jones again hit a 2run homer in the first inning. Markakis had a key 2 rbi single in the 7th to start the Cold War.

In regards to Tillman. Nice velocity but little movement on his fastball. Good change-up and had no feel for his curveball. Not the best start but not the worst. Hopefully next time out he’ll have some movement on his fastball and be able to throw his curve so it breaks down near the batter’s knees. Considering it was his first start, had to endure a rain delay, not too bad. Though a couple of those home runs he gave up haven’t landed yet. Nice to see Jones hit for power. Hopefully Huff won’t know the game today starts at 12:30 and he arrives at the park around 4. As cold as he is and as warm as the weather is it might sleet around him as the high temps and his cold spell meet. If they fired Trembley today I wouldn’t be upset. Needs for next year. 3rd baseman, 1st baseman, major league manager.

let me give credit where credit is due. Aubrey “Iceman” Huff made a really nice defensive play in the top of the 2nd. By the way, I like Huff and overall he’s played really well for the o’s since acquiring him. Reports today indicated that Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz tested positive for steroids a few years ago. I’m shocked. I knew Manny was using fertility drugs or something like that. Something about his feminine side. Check out www. roto.info.com for a list of players suspected on testing positive.

Aubrey Huff reads Terp Talk. He read my comments this morning and said to himself. Freddy’s right. I need to thaw out. Huff has 2 hits so far today, 3 rbi’s and 2 nice plays in the field.
