Freshman Tianna Hawkins led all players with 20 points and 10 rebounds, posting a double-double in her first game in a Terrapins uniform as the University of Maryland women’s basketball team claimed a 90-48 victory against Bowie State Wednesday evening at Comcast Center in its first of two preseason exhibition games.
Four Maryland players scored in double figures against the Lady Bulldogs. Sophomore Kim Rodgers notched 18 points in only 16 minutes of play, making four of six 3-point attempts. Sophomore Lynetta Kizer scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 15 minutes and senior Lori Bjork added another 10 points in her first game in a Maryland uniform. (from umterps.com)
