Billy Cortes tallied a goal and an assist to lead the No. 6 Maryland men’s soccer team to a win, 2-1, against College of Charleston on Senior Night at Ludwig Field Friday.
Maryland honored its five seniors – Yates, Kwame Darko, Tyler Mishalow, Doug Rodkey and Kevin Tangney – prior to kickoff on Friday. The senior class of 2009 has aided the Terrapin men’s soccer program to 80 wins in a five-year span including an incredible 54-8-8 record at Ludwig Field. Goalie Zac MacMath tied a career-high with six saves. Maryland outshot the Cougars, 13-12. Maryland ends the regular season with a 12-4-2 record.
