4500 watched the Terps jump on top of Samford 25-3 and never look back. It was their 40th consecutive win at Home. Frehmen Tianna Hawkins and Dara Taylor scored 14 and 11 respectively. Brenda commented on the rebound from the Miss State defeat:
“With this young team, it’s all a learning experience. We went through, from Mississippi State, a very poised, veteran team and we just weren’t ready from the tip, and they took advantage of that in the first half … Like I told them, I was proud of the second half, it was a game we competed in the second half when we settled down. If we can take those kind of lessons out of the game, being prepared with such a young team, and I thought tonight’s game was going to be a big test, and I thought they did a tremendous job being ready to play.”
