FYI–This is what Bobby Knight had to say about Calipari last night. Does it sound familiar?
During a fundraiser for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, Knight said he doesn’t understand why Calipari is still coaching. “We’ve gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that’s why I’m glad I’m not coaching,” he said. “You see we’ve got a coach at Kentucky who put two schools on probation and he’s still coaching. I really don’t understand that.” Massachusetts and Memphis were both sanctioned by the NCAA for violations committed during Calipari’s tenure. (from ESPN.com)

About 22 years ago John Feinstein wrote a great book about Bobby Knight…”Season On The Brink”. As a matter of fact most of the books written by Feinstein are terrific.
I don’t blame Calipari one bit for cheating. He cheats, the school gets sanctioned, and then he moves on to a more lucrative job with no repercussions.
The NCAA has to adopt rules where the coaches who cheat also have the sanctions follow them to their new schools.
Bobby should have never left Indiana.
I should rephrase that one.. he should have never been fired from Indiana.
Good for Knight. The NCAA is as corrupt as Calipari. I wonder what harsh penalty will he suffer next time. They’ve taken away so much of his past that really means the world to him. Not once, but twice they’ve issued the same punishment. I only hope he can survive this a third time:) The whole thing is a joke.
