I guess Miquel Tejada figures you can home again. Miggy is being brought back to play 3rd base which begs the question how long will iut be for Josh Bell will be ready to step in at 3rd? After all the O’s gave up its ace closer George Sherrill to get a 3rd baseman. Can Tejada easily adjust the move to 3rd? This I do believe, he will be an asset to the season, he will be more relaxed as an O this time around, I will spend tomorrow morning looking for my #10 Tejada jersey. Welcome back!!!
12,000 attended Fan Fest yesterday at the Convention Center. Hope springs eternal in January. The hierachy believes the young arms might surprise this year. Wouldn’t it be nice if that turns out to be so. Adam Jones was at the Terrapin game last night.

I don’t think this is a good signing. Miggy has zero experience at 3rd. It took Mora and Ripken about 100 games to get comfortable playing 3rd. Though he hit around .313 last year Miggy hit only 14 hr’s in a hitter friendly park with a short porch in left. So don’t expect much power from him. I would have preferred signing someone with experience at the position.

oye, more kvetching about george sherrill the closer of a last place team who would still have finished in last had king george been with the team all year. bell played in double a last year and had a real good year. if he starts the season at norfolk the earliest he would come up is mid season though a full yr in the minors would be fine. he’s only 22. as for miggy like i wrote in the above statement. he’s never played 3rd. it’s highly unlikely he’s going to be a good 3rd baseman from the get go if it all. if it took cal ripken 100 games to get comfortable there and it took mora 100 games to get comfortable there what makes you think miggy will easily adjust to playing 3rd? is it impossible not but highly unlikely. but maybe he can pull a mickey stanley and change positions without missing a beat. by the way mickey stanley played o.f. for the tigers but in order for al kaline to play in the world series stanley moved to s.s. where he played really well and the tigers beat the cards in 7 games in the 1968 fall classic.

one thing miggy is good at is being a vocal leader which this team doesn’t have.
