The No. 2 Maryland women’s lacrosse team boasted four hat tricks en route to a 17-7 victory against Richmond in the Terps’ season opener Sunday at the Practice Turf Field. Karri Ellen Johnson, Brandi Jones, Caitlyn McFadden 9pictured above)and Kate Faas all netted three goals apiece as the Terps moved to 17-0 all-time against the Spiders. Johnson, who scored five goals in her collegiate debut at Richmond last season, also led Maryland in draw controls with seven. McFadden tacked on four assists for a team-high seven points on the day.
