10,400 Watch #9 Florida State Roll Over Lady Terps 94-61 on Senior Day

The Maryland women’s basketball team concluded their regular season schedule against No. 9/9 Florida State Sunday afternoon. The Terps fell to the top-10 program, 94-61. Maryland continues to lead the Seminoles in the all-time series, 23-13.

Prior to tip, Maryland recognized seniors Lori Bjork and Emery Wallace. Wallace was sidelined after playing one season but head coach Brenda Frese saw the effect Wallace had on the team from the sideline and knew she remained a key player for the Terps. The Roanoke, Va., native continued to travel with the team and provide encouragement and inspiration to all of her teammates. Bjork, a transfer from the University of Illinois, has given the 2009-10 Terrapins the senior position they were missing. Her constant efforts on and off the floor have rewarded her and the team immensely. Bjork is No. 2 in the Maryland senior record books in three-pointers made with 70 which also puts her at fourth in the single season records for treys.

Maryland will prepare for the 2010 ACC Tournament which they are set to play No. 8 seeded North Carolina at 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 4. The game will be televised on RSN and on Fox HD. (from umterps.com) Certainly the Lady Terps will need a strong showing in the ACC Tournament to secure a ticket to the Big Dance.
