Blair Delean recorded eight strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings and Maryland used timely hitting and base-running to defeat Towson 4-2 Wednesday at Shipley Field at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.
The Terps scored two runs in the fourth to break a 1-1 tie. Adam Kolarek led off the inning with a walk and advanced to second on a single by Jack Cleary. A combination of two wild pitches and a balk eventually allowed Kolarek and Cleary to score as Maryland took a 3-1 lead.
